Da'awatul Islamia of Somerset

HISTORY

We are a community of believers adhering to the Qur’an and the life traditions of Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him).

Located at 122 Churchill Ave., Somerset, NJ 08873, USA. Da’awatul Islamia of Somerset inc. is serving the Muslim Community living in the city of Somerset, NJ and neighboring cities.

The islamic center offers a place to pray and is planning to expand in the future In Shah Allah. We also have arrangements for islamic education for children.

What began as a small group of dedicated believers seeking a space for worship became a permanent community hub when Da’awatul Islamia of Somerset secured its home at 122 Churchill Ave, Somerset, NJ. In July 2000, the masjid was officially recognized as a public charity under Section 170(b)(1)(A)(i) and received tax exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

In August 2007, the masjid became the proud owner of the 122 Churchill Ave property, and by 2017, it expanded by acquiring adjacent properties to meet the growing needs of the congregation.
